Read the input of two University of Arizona students on the difference a good night sleep makes in their days.
While theres plenty of evidence backed by studies and other scientific evidence about how sleep can impact you life that I've already included in other blog posts, I wanted to include first hand experiences from students; the target audience for this project.
Both of these students are juniors at the University of Arizona. College students tend to not prioritize sleep as there are so many other things to focus on — classes, social life, studying, grocery shopping, and the overall responsibilities living on their own. So we asked them...
How does your sleep affect you?

After a good night’s sleep I find myself having less brain fog the next day. I also have trouble staying awake when I am sitting for long periods of time so having a good night’s sleep really lessens the chances of that happening. I consider a good night’s sleep one where I wake up completely feeling refreshed.

“There have been times where I have only gotten 4-5 hours of sleep a night, and I can totally see how it affected me and my mindset the next day.”
Sleep is essential for a person's health and wellbeing. It helps to restore physical and mental energy, helps to regulate hormones, and helps to boost the immune system. It also helps to improve concentration and alertness, and can help to reduce stress and anxiety. There have been times where I have only gotten 4-5 hours of sleep a night, and I can totally see how it affected me and my mindset the next day. Sleep is so beneficial to us because it allows our bodies and minds to rest and recuperate.
